It’s the last half day of work and school for Rex, London, Maddie, and me… and when they get off the bus around one o’clock today, our family will head out to Lambertville, NJ (and maybe cross the bridge to Newhope, PA) for some last minute Christmas shopping and an early dinner at Hamilton’s Grill Room.

We’ve had our annual holiday visit to Lambertville on the calendar several times since Thanksgiving weekend, but each time, the weather did not cooperate.  Our family has spent several relaxing weekends snowed in by the fire, but now we’re ready for a little spontaneous shopping and good cheer.  We’ll visit a few of our favorite stores, like the Blue Raccoon, and then Maddie and London are dreaming of the rack of lamb!
